We also got to see more of Cora and Echo, and Ingrid played a bigger role in this book than she has in some of the past books. Andris has always been a favorite of mine and he had some great moments in this book. I really fell more and more in love with the secondary characters in this book. What’s this self control I speak of? I swear – it still exists. I also thought that it was very realistically handled because, let’s face it, they really do want to have sex – but they’re showing self control. Yay! It has felt to me lately like YA characters jump into bed with each other the minute they start dating, so I was happy to see a couple who’s been dating for close to six months and holding off on that big step. There was plenty of making out and lusting – but they had decided that they were going to wait to take that next step, and they held to that decision. This was so refreshing for a YA novel nowadays. While there were a couple of things that bothered me about Raine and Torin in this book, I was thrilled with the fact that Walters chose not to have them jump into bed together.
